I mentioned that we used to get invited to parties, and I was referring to yours for the most part. But as I recall you didn’t hold your parties on the actual Fourth of July, or did you?

I have to throw a huge rock through your window Dan. To say that you never never ever get invited to July 4th parties is total BS…..How many times have you been invited to our home for food, beer and pyrotechnic festivities?

Granted, its been a few years because the state of IL and Sangamon County took this liberty away from me and you. I can invite you to my house but without a few thousand dollars worth of exspolosives, whats the point?

I thought Barry, or Manilow as friends call him, was the composer. It seems he co-wrote the lyrics but didn’t compose the music. He was also involved in creating well-known jingles for Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, and State Farm. All of this in addition to being totally fabulous.

I knew Nancy would know the first, but I’m a bit surprised that Nick came up with Nu Shooz, it being a bit before his time, I would have thought.

And yes Gish, the gods made sure we respected Jacko’s passing by besieging us with mournful weather, but they didn’t take away our DFH 60, the benevolent gods that they are.

This tale of woe regarding the Fourth has been frequently overheard amongst friends since the King of Pop died. Everything seems a little bit less shiny.

DFH 60 though, yeah, that’s a bright spot.
