I don't know if they were booted from the mall, or if they just decided to close. I remember they left when the mall was being remodeled and the food court was created. I thought they just decided not to relocate. If it's true that the Sunday policy led to their dismissal, then I owe the Simon Property Group has about 12-years worth of scorn.

Oh happy day. If there is any truth to the rumor that they were booted from the mall for not being open on Sunday, then this is the lamest town ever. Chic-Fil-A 6 days a week is 6 times better than all the other crap in the food court 7 days a week. And if it manages to work out ok for every other mall across the country, then why does White Oaks think they know better? South 6th Street is not real convenient for me, but it is closer than the mall in Fairview Heights where I currently get my fix, so I'll take it.

AM Springfield, which is normally a good source for this type of information, reported this morning that Chick Fil A is looking at the new Wal-Mart development on South 6th as a location for a new store. I emailed Jeff Hofmann because I only caught the end of the discussion, and he confirmed the rumour, but advised against making lunch plans just yet.

That said, it couldn't hurt to get bigger pants, or just switch to muʻumuʻus.
