Fantasy Election 2008: Barack vs. Bill

I posted a form of this question in the comments section, but I believe it’s intriguing enough to merit its own post.

It’s mid January, 2008. Hillary Clinton is apprehended by aliens while campaigning in Storm Lake, Iowa. The Supreme Court rules that in cases of spousal abduction by extraterrestrial beings, former presidents who have already served two terms are eligible to regain their seat in this country’s  highest office.

So, in a match up between Bill Clinton and an extremely popular, but not yet messianic, Barack Obama, who would prevail?
