Important Issue Roundtable: The Tubes

Why is “She’s a Beauty” the only song by the Tubes played on commercial radio these days, when it is self evident that “Talk to Ya Later” is the better tune?

Fat Boy Slim…..damn good as well. I think Fee and Richard Marx are like best friends or something. Not a big Tubes fan, other than the 2 tunes mentioned above, I can’t remember anything else from them. Am I missing something with them Dan? Saw Fee on VH1 a while back, he has not aged too well.

Dan,
It has long made no sense to me why you virtually never hear “Talk to Ya Later” on the radio. Frankly, you didn’t really hear it all that much in 1981 when the album came out, either.
“She’s a Beauty” is not a “bad” song, but I think “Talk to Ya Later” is much better as well.
And Fee Waybill IS, perhaps, the best rock and roll name ever.
