My Sunday column in the SJ-R this month ran right next to an article on public restrooms.
I can take a hint.

Honestly didn’t notice. I was too excited to see your column about Jack & I. Jack was so thrilled to see his name in the paper he took a picture of it with my phone. Thanks for the 5 minutes of fame, Dan!
2 comments, thats all!!! Are you freakin kidding me. A guy throw himself under the bus and tells the world he looks like Steve Buscemi and only 2 comments…I cant believe that.

OK…I’ll comment since I’m neither on vacation nor sick.
Dan, you do not remind me of Steve Buscemi and he does not remind me of you. But it’s been quite a while since I’ve seen either of you so…maybe you’re actually twins. You do slightly…..SLIGHTLY…remind me of Chris Katan from SNL.
When I had super-long curly hair, I was asked (more times than I could ever count), “Has anyone ever told you ‘you look just like Alanis Morrisette?” Friends, family, work mates, total strangers…you name it. Then when I saw the movie “28 Days Later” with my hubby and a friend, they two of them kept whispering about how weird it was that this one actor looked just like me. I hadn’t really noticed it until the very end when the survivors were setting up their SOS signal and a rescue plane flies overhead. There’s a single shot of that particular actor smiling and I said out loud, “Oh my God”. It was like looking in a mirror…but just for that one split-second.

Mary,
I definitely see the Alanis Morissette resemblance. And unlike Buscemi, it’s flattering.
