Something to agree on

This Flight of the Conchords video contains one of the best sight gags you’ll ever see on YouTube. If you don’t think this is funny, I’ll see you in the comments section.

Like Shoo, I’ll be at the St. Patrick’s Day parade tomorrow. Maybe next year Spfldbloggers can get their own float. I’m envisioning a giant inflatable nerd, wearing pajamas and firing insults at the Wal-Mart and Budweiser floats.

Great idea. Maybe the first parody float in the parade’s history? We may be nerds, but I think we’re clever enough to pull it off. But of course you’re in charge -it was your idea.

  2. Oh my God, I heart Brett and Jemaine so much!!! My favorite part is the playful toss of the apple.

  5. Love FOTC! My favorite part is her polite, yet reserved, “Thank you.” at the end.

Did anyone see Brett & Jemaine’s biggest fan doing a guest commentator spot on The Daily Show? Not her funniest work, but a cute bit.

  6. Mel was on the Daily Show? How did I miss that? I consider myself the real-life version of her.

  7. Except for YouTube clips, I’m new to FOTC. I just received the season one DVD from NetFlix, which I plan to pop in tonight.

And here’s a sad update on the outlook for Season II of FotC . . .
“Sorry, ‘Conchords’ fans, your ‘Flight’ is delayed”
Whitney Matheson at USA Today’s “Pop Candy” reports that the second season of HBO’s “Flight of the Conchords” has been delayed until early 2009. That’s a drag. But she adds that the Conchords are due to release their first full-length album in April. They’ve already released one EP, “The Distant Future,” on Sub Pop.
