Win or lose on Saturday I hope the win over New Lenox quiets the jack-ass SH-G haters or the “sky is falling” SH-G fans who always predict doom and gloom before the next game.

When SH-G was forced up to 6A all you heard was about how they wouldn’t be able to handle the big lineman and running games of the Chicago/Joliet area teams. Well, what about now?

I say the really good teams (top two-three) in each class can effectively compete one to two classes above their class designation. Although I think SH-G is still a better team, I think Lombard Montini, Wheaton St. Francis, and Metamora could compete successfully in 7A and they are a 5A teams. (Which is why 8 classes is way too many)

So when you hear the nay-sayers making their ridiculous gloomy predictions about the Cyclones tell them where they can put their predictions.

If you’re looking for family babysitters, you’re probably out of luck. Mitch is mad as hell that some school in Jacksonville had the nerve to schedule a basketball tournament next weekend, so he can’t go to Champaign. Rock will probably be taking the other boys to see SHG destroy Lemont.
