Laura,

What I liked about Mississippi Nights is that if you got a table by the railing on the raised section in the back, you didn't have to worry about anybody blocking your view. That was important for someone like me who struggles with height.

P. Stanley,

Are you taking a jab at the physical appearance of Tweedy and Farrar by comparing them to woodland creatures? Are they not attractive enough for you? So that's why you like KISS, you find them sexy. Stay proud.

Thanks for commenting,
Dan

Ah - ok obviously I am already too old and out of touch to have any cred on these matters. Didn't know Mississipi Nights closed. That's a shame - that was a great place to see a show. I remember being there one time and we ran into the lead singer from Belinda Chaire (Alice something?) and she stopped and chatted with you for a minute. I loved the small venue and the fact that the waitresses brought the beer to the table.

Maybe Farrar and Tweedy could replace Criss and Frehley. Do you think they would mind wearing makeup and 7" heels? What character would they be? A squirrel? A rodent of some sort?

I saw Uncle Tupelo live a couple of times and one time when they did a show as Coffee Creek, with Brian Henneman of the Bottle Rockets. Those were great shows.

I'm hoping for a Tupelo reunion as well, but it probably won't be at Mississippi Nights since they closed a couple of years back. I used to think that Farrar would never agree to perform together again, but now I'm thinking that Tweedy might be the one who wouldn't want to rehash the past.

Awesome. The real travesty here is that Uncle Tupelo broke up just before you made me a mixed tape with 'Screen Door' on it. From that moment I was hooked on Tupelo but never got to see them live. But, the first couple of Wilco shows I saw were heavy on Tupelo songs on which Tweedy had lead vocals, so that was some small consolation. I still hope that they can bury the hatchet and embark on an Uncle Tupelo reunion tour before I'd be so old that I'd look stupid to be there - a small affair at Mississippi Nights for the truest of Tupelo fans.
