Update: Credit for previous post

The proceeding polemic was inspired by Jim Treacher, who addressed the issue much more succinctly than I ever might. If you haven’t noticed, I tend to get a bit wordy. Anywho, for those of you who don’t click on links, here is what he wrote:
The latest foiled terrorist plot revolved around liquid explosives. So of course, the logical solution is to

Thanks! Yeah, people tell me I’m concise all the time. Brusque, that’s another term they use. Also abrupt. What can I say, once you’ve made your point, why keep babbling about it? People just go on and on, it drives me nuts. Like this one time I was at the park? It was in June of… ‘04, I think? Yeah, it would have been June ‘04, because I remember my sister’s 30th birthday was coming up the next week. She was not happy about that, I can tell ya! Anyway, I know her birthday was coming up because I remember thinking I needed to get her a really good present because I’d completely forgotten the year before and it was a whole big thing. I mean, once you get to a certain age you’re not supposed to care about presents anymore, right? But she said I was a cheap, forgetful jerk. Which I guess was true. Everything’s cool now, but at the time she was really mad. What was I talking about? Oh yeah, conciseness. Totally.
