INT KITCHEN
DAD is rewarding MARK with a Hershey’s Kiss for his role in cleaning up the toy room. In presenting him with the chocolate, DAD tries to impart a lesson in tidiness and personal responsibility.
DAD (handing Mark the candy)
Here you go, make sure you the throw the wrapper away.
MARK (crumpling the foil and paper tail into a ball)
Here, you throw it away.
DAD
Mark, throw it away.
MARK (smiling at the folly he is creating)
No, you.
DAD (gesturing)
The garbage can’s right there, man.
MARK (pressing the refuse in Dad’s hand then walking away.)
Dad, trust me on this.

This is great play. A lot like something Beckett would’ve written.
