Dan,

If toenails falling off was the worst thing that happened to Mrs. BFS, then she was in pretty good shape. C'mon, what's a couple of toenails? Maybe after the half you'll want to see if you can go further. Hope to see you at the half! I'll be somewhere in the back of the pack at the rate I'm going.

Brian,

I know I won't be up for Chicago this year, and I'm not sure there's a marathon in my future. After seeing my wife's toenails fall off last year, it kind of turned me off to the idea. The half marathon may be as far as I ever run.

Thanks for commenting,
Dan

Dan,

Great job on the running! I also ran 10 miles this past weekend, and the most I'd run to that point this year was 6. I was one of those that did Chicago last year - ugh. I might just see you out at the half marathon this year, and maybe in Chicago for the whole 26.2?

Thanks John. I'll check that out this evening.

Casey, after about seven miles, I was wishing I had stayed in bed.

Dan,

WTG on the running. Wow. I love how awesome I feel after a run...but I LOVE how I awesome I feel laying in bed on a Saturday morning not running.

It's sick and self deprecating, I know.

Congrats anyway,

Case

Dan-

Way to go on the running, man. I admire people who like to run. Or at least who have the testicular fortitude to make themselves do it. I love working out, but I hate running. A lot of bad memories I'd rather not dig up.

Glad to hear you've discovered Drive By Truckers. A friend of mine turned me on to them back in 04, and I've been a fan since. Internet Archive has an extensive archive of DBT live shows. Some of the shows from 04 are incredible (the band in its prime IMO). There's also an acoustic show from Cooley's house in '04 that is very unique. It may be my favorite DBT show ever.

If you go directly to YouTube, there's a Pancake Mountain channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/pancakemountain).

Okay, if you were at the Lost Bridge Trail on Saturday, who was that that looked suspiciously like you and waved at me in Washington park?
